Keep digging holes...

          Holes it is a book and a movie created by Louis Sachar. From me it is very good. By it I mean the movie and the book. I loved the movie I highly recommend this movie and book. I am not going to spoil it even if i want to do it. This story must be read or watched yourself so it can be interesting and good.

         

War Horse Film Review

            “War Horse”, is a great film consists of bravery, friendship and of course war. It was originally a book created by Michael Morpurgo. Later in 2011, a film was created based on the book. There are many good characters in the movie such as Ted Narracott. He was a veteran in the army before. He said that he made many mistakes in the war so he now drinks a lot to make those mistakes forgotten from his life. There is also Albert Narracott, he is the son of Ted. He knew Joey the horse since he was young. Later when he had Joey they had a very strong bond with Joey. Joey is a horse who trusts Albert, Ted and also Ted’s wife, Rosie. Rosie is Ted’s wife as I mentioned before. She is a nice character who cares about all the family members in the family that includes Joey.

            It has many good moments that sometimes you just wish that you were in the movie. The best moment was the ending. It was a good and emotional part which was the happy and good ending.

            This also comes with a method to do the movie. Such as when there are horses running, people use coin to make the sound of the horses, because the sound of the horses are not that loud enough to recorded. I am also very impressed with the costumes and also the music. The costumes were very good and were clear that we were able to know that this side is German and the other side is England. The music was very touching and the movie will almost be nothing without the music.

           

I fully recommend this movie because this tells a lot of what actually happened. I learned a lot from this movie. Such as bravery, friendship, trust and war. For me, the film was very good that I can never forget. It was a sad but a very good movie.

           

War horse starts as our little foal, Joey is taken away from his mother and sold to a farm. On the farm, Joey build up a bond with a boy named Alert Narracot., and Albert's drunken father sells Joey to the British army to earn money to keep his farm and family alive.

In the army, Joey has a best friend named Topthron and Joey is paired up with Captain Nicholls, Nicholls dies in battle and the British lose the battle, after that Topthron and Joey are captured by the Germans. 

As the front line moves, and casualties decrease, Joey and Topthorn are left with a kind French farmer and his granddaughter, Emilie, who cares deeply for the two horses. Emilie gives horses her strength and a reason to live. Unfortunately, the Germans come back to check farm for any animals or any food, they found Joey and Topthorn and Joey and Topthorn are commissioned once again by the Germans.

Tasked with pulling a gun, Joey and Topthorn are put into great danger. Two other horses in their unit, Heinie and Coco, perish, along with Joey's new caretaker, Friedrich. Worst of all for Joey, Topthorn's health becomes worst and unfortunately, he dies.

Finding himself injured and alone, Joey is discovered by the British and taken to their vet tent. There he is returned with Albert, who is in the military as a veterinarian. The war ends and Joey is put up for auction. But Emilie's Grandpapa shows up and wins the auction for Joey . Sadly, Emilie has died, so Grandpapa gives Joey to Albert. Albert takes Joey back to England, Albert nurses Joey back to health in a sad scene deserving of a orange sunset with heart-tugging violin music also shows his parents about Joey and they live happily ever after.

Reflection

              Hi everyone........I am Paritosh from grade 9 Alpen. Until now, i have learned many things in English class. Such as speech and debate. Not only that I have improved my English little bit i think.

              I can make a good and better debate than what I used to do. I have learned how to make the format of the debate for example the format is "Introduction, Con, Con, Pro, Conclusion". Before this I didn't use any thing for the format. Now I have learned how the format is and how to talk more not only a bit.

             Now, in the future I can use this format and what I have learned form the lesson not only doing any thing randomly.

Who is Responsible? Paritosh 9 Alpen

            We can see a lot of accidents in Jakarta and Indonesia everyday. However there was one accident which was very bad it was a 13 year boy driving back from Bogor to Jakarta. He killed 7 people and injured many others. I don’t think that the father was responsible. He had a father Ahmad Dani which was a singer and the boy’s name was Dul.

           

            The father should also be responsible for him driving and also he knew that he was driving sometimes. However, he should have the sense of a 13 year old boy. He knows that in Indonesia the minimal driving age is 17 years old but he still drives below the limit.

            The father also gave a car to the older brother who was also underage. But instead his younger brother took it and went to his the mall with his friends and his girlfriend. Luckily he dropped his girlfriend and went home with one of his friend.

            Even he knew that his son is driving and he still allows him. He drove on the highway on to the upcoming way on the highway and killed 7 and many other. Luckily his father was a singer and had a lot of money. One of the person killed was a father of a young boy. So the father said that they will pay the son’s school’s fee and also university.

            He also should know that what is right and wrong he also had a driver but the son himself asked him to go on a holiday for one week. After that he started driving by Dul himself. He also was confident that he drove with his friend and girlfriend. In the end he killed innocent 7 people who had families. That is why I think Dul himself was responsible for this incidence.
